Growing up, moving on

This is the last thing I should be doing right now, but I was just looking through Joan Didion, "Goodbye to All That," in Slouching Towards Bethlehem again, and this jumped out at me:
"Goodbye to All That"All I mean is that I was very young in New York, and that at some point the golden rhythm was broken, and I am not that young any more.
I think sometimes this is how I feel about Seattle, and I wonder if I will ever go back, even though if you know me at all you know how much I love the city and miss my family. Of course, the more I think about it, the more it seems that I probably felt somewhat like this about Houston as well. Maybe for Houston, and for Seattle too--I can't go back, because I am not that young anymore.
